Easy ski around the top of TD with Carol, then down into the valley and wandering around what they'd groomed. Looks like they were out with the snowmobile packing the main trails, but also just playing, as there were lots of random skinny trails groomed all over the place. Which was all fun and ski-o-ish.

Note

Holy long day batman. The following things of note were accomplished today:
- three fillings
- one inlay
- a wicked sore jaw
- mad lateral highway drifting in the golf
- pizza
- ski-o training center, step three
- a garage full of smoke ('sposed to do that)
- a ghetto dx headlamp battle in the snowstorm (all types are equally blinding)

Note

Hey it's snowing! I have a dentist appt wicked early in the morning tomorrow In Auburn, but it's only supposed to get worse and I was afraid the highway might be closed overnight, so I was going to go down this afternoon (and then go to ikea). So I got down to town, stopped to put the chains on, and oh look, highway is closed. Due to "a number of rolled vehicles". Yay. That was an hour and a half ago. At least it's dark now, so I won't be able to see how bad it is once it opens back up.

Note

Spent the day in Reno looking at toys. No sled yet, but I did buy a trailer. Or more specifically, a box or three full of trailer parts. I was assured that after "liberal application of a sixpack and a grease gun" I could make it look like a trailer.

Night-o in Prosser. Only Carol, Carol and I, and I didn't get there until right at the start so I just started first and tried to hang them all in the right spot. Only maybe messed up one of them.

orienteering 23:09 [1] *** 1.69 km (13:42 / km) +53m 11:50 / km

Then I went back out to run with Carol S for a few controls, as she had seemed somewhat concerned about both her night-o abilities and her night-bear-fighting abilities. In the end neither were a problem.

Tuesday intervals by headlamp on the Martis Creek road. Sortof chilly out, but I had way too many clothes on.

Note

Rest day, mostly because I was sortof actually working. Picked up the new V2 wood-core frames today. Looks like they changed how they welded things too. Perhaps they finally figured out this was a problem.

Intervals at Martis Creek dam. Not particularly excited to be out there today, but it wasn't too bad.

In other news, this is fantastic. Even Carol thought it was far and away the best movie she's ever watched in her life in Truckee on the first weekend in November while it wasn't snowing.
