Headed out PCH for an hour before turning around. Headwind going out, sweet tailwind coming back. While I was out a brushfire started on the hillside next to PCH, so they had the highway shut down on the way back(for cars, I could get through). Hung around for a while to watch the helicopters airdropping water. Smells like burning leaves again at home now though.
So the problem with good weather is that it brings fire, and fire brings smoke, which makes it bad weather again (circle of life?). One of the canyons nearby started burning last night, so the whole place smells like a cross between a pine needle campfire and fried truck brakes. The wind shifted a bit in the afternoon and it cleared up a little, so I went for a late lazy ride down to the beach.
