hiking 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

Cougar Crest trail from near Big Bear Lake up to the ridgeline, then up Bertha Pk. Not too steep, mostly an old fire road for a lot of it. About 3 hours. Also hiking back down after the run part.

run 2:15:00 [3] 8.0 mi (16:52 / mi)

Dropped the pack back at the ridgeline, then ran along the PCT for a while before cutting up a ridge to Delamar Mt. Dropped off the back side to try to hit some fire roads that would lead over to Little Bear Pk, but everything was mapped wrong and there were roads everywhere, so I ended up ignoring them all and just going straight. Got there eventually. Then cut back down the PCT and ran back to the pack. Decided this was probably too long to run in the desert in August without water.

hiking 2:00:00 [3] 10.0 mi (12:00 / mi)

dayhike up University Pk (13,600') from Onion Valley. went up to Robinson Lake, then up the southeast face to the east ridge and followed that to the top. Some good class 2 with a bit of dodgy 3 to get onto the ridgeline. Then off the back side and around to what was supposed to be University Pass for the descent, but I think I missed it and went down a side gully instead. Lots of scree and dirt and rockslides. Then at the bottom had to cross a few hundred meters of boulderfield where eveything moved when you touched it, even the minivan sized rocks.
