no skiing this weekend. Yosemite didn't groom in time, and I didn't really feel like driving up to tahoe. Plus I have tons of work to do for the upcoming Catching Features awesomeness in january.

down on the beach, all the way from Will Rodgers to the Venice pier and back. one of the crazy Venice hippies, after proclaiming how groovy it was that I could ski without snow, screamed that I was the "luckiest thing she had seen all week". is that lucky for her or for me?

there is a 'rest day' button, but why isn't there a 'nap day' button. it sounds much more focused. maybe that should be one of my training types...

orienteering 1:12:00 [3] 5.5 km (13:05 / km) +170m 11:20 / km

local laoc meet at Vasquez Rocks (a local meet with 350 people). such a great map. the lungs felt great after a week at altitude, but the legs were a pretty tired, I just couldn't climb the hills. also jumped/fell off a 10ft cliff which the back didn't really agree with. got lost in the cliffs a couple times for some 2-3 minute mistakes. I think I was second to Jan by 2 minutes.

one loop out to pick up a bunch of controls, then a bonus loop to pick up a bunch of the radio-o beacons. yea running with car batteries.
