orienteering 3:00:00 [1]
Scout training day at Firestone. Had about 8 boy/girl scouts in the advanced (yellow) group that I got to teach all day. We played lots of games and found a few streamers in the woods too. I think they might have even learned something.

Setting controls for the local meet tomorrow. Got stuck in a head high thicket of "open land".
Quite the day for wildlife. Saw a big coyote, a bunny rabbit, a flock of fire ants that devoured my ankles, a possum, and a big brown tarantula. Yes they really are the size of your hand. and hairy. and creepy. fortunately this one was dead. but apparently a bunch of kids found two or three live ones in a fire ring and were playing with them... I skipped that fun.
