Orienteering 1:22:08 [3] 4.44 km (18:29 / km) +192m 15:12 / km

Tarrywile with Stephen and J-J. Brown course. After yesterday's fun walk, this was a really tough slog around the course. Felt like I was crawling, so was shocked to see me come in first place. Of course the best suspects ran up. And thrilled that Stephen did so well for his first outing in some three years. Hopefully he'll keep it up!

WCOC/HVO Winter Series @ Ward Pound Ridge. Green Course. So happy that we were able to fit this into our schedule as the woods are sooo great. Was slow and steady and was quite pleased with the walk in such beautiful weather.

Yup, more Vitamin D. Moving pretty slow today, as it was very cold and windy and I am sore from the weekend.

Orienteering 1:15:30 [3] 5.66 km (13:20 / km) +117m 12:05 / km

Brown Course, Powisset Peak (Caryl Park). I was pretty tired and sore after yesterday's Green course, but J-J said "Let's Go" and there I was. Actually really pleased about how things went until after the final control. Wasn't exactly sure where I was coming off of the bend in the trail, and followed another orienteering to the completely wrong part of the map. Pretty disappointed, but happy to be out again on a fairly warm day, finishing just as the rain was starting.

Winter Series at Huntington State Park, Redding. Fun to be back at a park that I spent a fair amount of time at when I lived in CT. Beautiful day in the woods, even if I was painfully slow. Proud that I got through the green course.

Walking on trail 1:12:28 [3] 6.21 km (11:40 / km) +12m 11:33 / km

A rare opportunity to go through East Boston Camps with Stephen. Rather slower than usual as I always am when I'm with someone to talk to, and it also was quite slushy and icy in spots, so I was pretty careful. Could have used the Yaktrax at times but not enough to make me want to have worn them.
