Mt. Penn blue.

I laid into this course at first, and was doing decently, until the rootstock control in light green in a field of rootstocks. With the sun low in the horizon, it would blind me as I looked up the hill, and there was no way to run in there. This may be one of the worst (accurately placed, but oh so inappropriate) controls I have ever seen.

Still, a good course, but after that control, and the succession of controls in the annoying green that came in quick succession, I lost my mojo real fast.

Picking up some controls. The legs still felt strong, but I felt clumsy climbing and descending the wicked steep boulder fields on either side of Skyline Drive.

You can do things racing, that you can't do walking.
