Run 50:00 [2]

TNT.

Wednesday Nov 7, 2012 #

Note

I have to admit, I do not feel that I match the psychographic profile of orienteering.

Run 52:00 [2]

TNT. Nice run and nice dinner, but then a deer ran into me on the way home on Ridge Pike.

Run warm up/down 8:00 [1]
shoes: May 2011 Oroc 280

Warmup before the blue.

Orienteering race 1:03:00 [4] *** 9.0 km (7:00 / km) +300m 6:00 / km
shoes: May 2011 Oroc 280

Mid Atlantic Championships Blue.

Pretty happy with the run. Lost about 2 minutes on the long leg, all at the end, when I simply was enjoying the running too much and going too hard. The rest of it was generally in control. Feel like on the upswing.

Not sure whose performance is more impressive--Kenny, who ran a 17 something 5K before, Wyatt who had a pretty clean run on his first time on the map, or Eddie who seems to be mobile again after the ankle injury?

Run warm up/down 10:00 [1]

Warmup before the relay.

Orienteering race 16:30 intensity: (3:00 @3) + (12:00 @4) + (1:30 @5)
shoes: May 2011 Oroc 280

4th leg on the DVOA TNTerrors team.

Miss early, but saw Jon on the long field leg. Narrowed the gap in the forest, and tried to narrow it further as we steered back to the finish. After punching GO, thought--just maybe--that it was still in play, and gutted it out. Got to the finish at the same time, but flubbed the punch.

Do people know I love relays but don't like the punching aspect of orienteering? Just if you were wondering...
