Quali Hill Red.

Decent race, but not room for error. I lost the 4 minutes to Zhyk by control #7, or about 17 minutes into the race.

Felt good running.

Susquehanna Stumble. A colossal failure tactically and pretty poor all around.

Started out unnecessarily fast and then too independent to want to run with anyone. Mostly a reflection of lack of confidence in my current abilities (which are marginal, but would have served me better than I allowed them to.) En ce temps-là I would have let the race come to me. Instead, I tried to take it, had nowhere to put it, and got busted.

It was a long, tough race, but exactly what I expected. I really did get tired of running in that forest and had a lot of problems later on when companions would have significantly cut down on time losses.

And, no, some people's expectations to the contrary--I was perfectly healthy for the day.

Three hours at Adam's Creek with Tom. I'll log 1 hour.

Explored the caves, the latent DVOA mansion, and Adam's Creek Mills. All in all, likely my favorite Water Gap map. It will potentially be very versatile/interesting, although still an issue for W/Y.

And saw Vladimir.

Note

In an effort to see the glass half-full after our abject defeat, I can take solace in the fact that:

1) we won 3 of 4 legs against our opponent.
2) there is one person who had a faster per K time than Ali across all the different courses.

But, all that matters is who crosses the line first I suppose.
