Big announcements are cool, and I'm not in PR, but...
If they are so lacking in details to beg every question imaginable, wouldn't you want to bake it a little longer so as to come out with a bigger splash and less second-guessing? To head off the questions? To do otherwise dissipates something which could otherwise be powerful. Just MHO.
