10/21 this time. Clear progress. At this rate, assuming the field keeps shrinking, I'll converge on a medal again. Kind of like Zeno.
I was so much better in the last century. I wish I had some results prior to AP.
1996, Ohio, ?
1997, QOC, 3/39 US, 9/45 overall
1998, Teanaway Forks, ?
1999, Spooner Lake, ?
2000, course setter
2001: CNYO, 43/58 overall (injured, buck sucked anyway)
2006: RMOC, 14/25 overall (since I suck at the US Champs, incremental suckitude from altitude seems indiscernible.) ;)
2007: QOC, 15/27 overall
2009: BGR, 10/21 overall
Clearly, one of the big problems of this year's champs was no foreign competitors. Still, the overall numbers were too low notwithstanding.

This year's US Champs were great. Just a wonderful event.
And yet few people got to enjoy it. ~20 eligible finishers in M21? Way less than 10 in F21 and fewer yet in most of the <40 categories.
Not cool.
There were 45 in 2000 and 58 in 2001. Those were at least legitimate.
Clearly, if Ross didn't beat feet, no one else was likely to, so there is no doubt he was the US Champion. But, go a place or two down the list and it starts to get more equivocal.
People who missed this event missed a lot. But, where are these people? And who are they?
