Ride to the O meet

Orienteering race 42:25 [3] *** 3.34 mi (12:42 / mi)

Only 6 controls! Lots of route choices and long runs between controls.

Orienteering race 21:01 [3] ** 1.42 mi (14:48 / mi)

Swimming race 4:35 [5] 0.3 km (15:17 / km)

Down stream swim right along the dock and shore. Transition was straight up a grass hill.

Cycling race 42:23 [5] 13.8 mi (3:04 / mi)

Going out was a long net uphill with a couple short rolling sections. Going back was net downhill and was absolutely the ideal second half to prepare for a fast run. Pedaled as hard as possible but couldn't get my HR up as high as I wanted due to the downhill. Took my feet out of my shoes too early but the last bit had some sharp turns.

Road Running race 22:38 [5] 3.1 mi (7:18 / mi)

18th place woman coming out of transition but made up a few spots on the run. Side stitch forced a brief walk and cost me another place or two.

Cycling 3:27 [3] 0.68 mi (5:05 / mi)

Short ride around the parking lot to make sure the bike was in good shape before racking in transition.

Road Running 1:23 [3] 0.19 mi (7:17 / mi)

short ROTB to practice the transition and finish shaking out from the drive before the race on Saturday.
