dry and quite warm, already, nothing new :), (before and after the race)
12 PM

race (Classic Day2 Red) 1:13:07 [4] *** 10.0 km (7:19 / km) +275m 6:26 / km
spiked:11/16c shoes: Icebugs Spirit 2015

Started with conservative effort and today I had hard time spotting flags when in the circle, mostly combination of bright light and shadows, and as Z-man mentioned - faded color bags. felt very shaky an a way to 3, even slowing down could not match terrain to map, while still being on compass. Was able to figure out my location ~ 250 to control and had no trouble finding it. Had a decent round rout to 5 but small changes in the trails/roads just before the control got me confused and slowed down and deviated ~ 100 meters, realized it and had no trouble getting it. 6 was just plane will test, tough climb for me, again very clean into control. 7 - I was standing 5 meters from control and boulder and did not see either in the shadow of near by spruce. Walked around for ~ 20 meters turned around and saw it. So much for spiking the location :(.
Course opened up after that and I blasted down hill part of it, failing on 15 for 2 min. Last control was clear test of will and I was loosing it with 200 meters to finish, but survived.
Thanks to Bruce Wolfe for this course.
AliC killed it in 63', I guessed it right this morning before the race.

Very physical course considering the altitude (7000 feet). Messed up one control by 6 min (#13), otherwise clean or clean-ish. Sergey was 74'

planned 5 km, but 4 km felt about right for now. Lots of kids of all ages on and around the track, difficult to concentrate only on running, good for orienteering, though.
