Running 20:28 [2] 1.26 mi (16:14 / mi) +89m 13:19 / mi

Walk/jog to start

Orienteering 2:07:17 [3] 6.45 mi (19:44 / mi) +370m 16:45 / mi

Long, Route Gadget (Red)

I was supposed to run Green Y, but 4.4km just seemed a little too sad for a long, so I decided to run Red instead and I'm very happy that I did. I made a few mistakes, developed a few blisters, and did not run as much as I would have liked, but overall, I'm pleased with my race

Error Analysis:
3-4: Started on a nice line, and then told myself I was in the wrong spot, and proceeded to basically do a semicircle to the control instead of just continuing on

4-5: Mostly clean, but I was trying to go to the left of the swamp (about a quarter of the way through the leg) to catch the trail and I ended up to the right of it and had to climb an "impassable cliff" (it wasn't that bad) instead. I did end up hitting the trail, but it was much later than I wanted and I probably lost at least 30 sec

I also bobbled getting near 5 and just finding it among the green

6-7: Clean but probably lost 30sec-1min just on indecisiveness bc I couldn't decide whether to take the trail or the road. Also, about this time a blister started forming on the bottom of my left foot which didn't really affect me, but was unfortunate

9-10: Was off my bearing and was aware of that, but when I tried to correct, I was confused where exactly I was and stood just trying to figure it out for a couple moments

10-11: Let myself be affected by the mistake I just made, and exited very poorly from 10

11-12: A little too high and bobbled in the circle

12-13: Thought the boulder the control was on was a cliff and therefore not my feature. Minor error luckily

13-14: Got pulled off by another control higher

Orienteering 51:48 [3] 2.39 mi (21:41 / mi) +188m 17:25 / mi

Middle, Route Gadget (Green Y)

Overall, I felt slow, but it was a decent race and I would've been fine with it if not for my mistake on 9

Error Analysis:
2-3: Had a bobble in the circle where I wasn't quite sure where I was (I was too high)

6-7: Not a mistake per say but I chose a very bad route going down the cliffs

9: Hahaha this was not good. I got to 9. I found it without error. BUT I was holding my map upside down and read the 9 as a 6, so when I checked my clue sheet holder, it said I wasn't at the right spot. I then spent the next 6-7 min wandering the area, confused and unsure where to go, because everything was saying this was my control. Finally, I found a different control which made me check my clue sheet again and I realized what I had done. Not a fun error. Basically just throwing away time for the fun of it
4 PM

Orienteering 28:21 [3] 1.98 mi (14:19 / mi) +102m 12:20 / mi

Sprint, Route Gadget (Red)

Not good, some stupid mistakes combined with tiredness

Error Analysis:
Start-1: Started going to 2 first :))

5-6: Didn't see it at first and let myself be pulled off by the cadet on my course making a mistake

7-8: Bad route choice. Forgot to check whether the control was on the top or bottom of the wall. Assumed it was the bottom, it was the top

Running 4:09 [2] 0.31 mi (13:23 / mi) +10m 12:10 / mi
