Note

The way my schedule works the next few months, I will be able to make it to the Ontario Championships and the North Americans this year, which should be great!

Running warm up/down 16:00 [2]
shoes: New Balance 790

Track run, 10 minute warmup, 3 minutes between intervals, 3 minute cooldown. One of the hottest days of the year today, was 30+ degrees in the indoor track, felt like a sauna. Only managed 2 intervals today (out of a possible 7) because I simply couldn't take the heat. Tried to do a 10 minute cooldown outside but the sun beat me down in 3 minutes.

Running intervals 7:02 [5] 2.0 km (3:31 / km)
shoes: New Balance 790

2X1000m intervals. 3:34 and 3:27. Really happy with the times, considering I wasn't sure how the ankle would respond to faster speeds and that the fastest I was running on the warmup were 56s 200m laps. Hoping to find some 4th/5th gear in time for O-ringen

Ultimate frisbee 30:00 [2]
shoes: La Sportiva Crosslite

Ultimate frisbee, 3 on 4 today (I was on the team with 4) so not too high intensity, but good to work on my explosiveness a bit.

Running 1:00:00 intensity: (30:00 @1) + (30:00 @3)

Run on Mount Royal, the 1st half of it with 2 female lab mates, Kristyn and Hao, which lacked intensity except for the last hill climb push. Second half was running on my own and tackled the mountain again, was pretty hot out and had to take a few brief rests. Ankle still doesn't quite feel right, feels like it is going to spontaneously snap in half when I am going above 70-80%, hopefully it continues to strengthen up without a reinjury.
