Other (snowshoeing) 1:30:00 [1]

Snowshoeing at a scientific conference in the Laurentians north of Quebec city. Hadn't done this since I used some wooden snowshoes in elementary school, really enjoy the new-school snowshoes, you can run through anything.

Hockey/Skating 30:00 [1]

Shinny at the conference.

Hockey/Skating 1:00:00 [3]

Great shinny today, maybe the best ever. 4 on 4, with a goalie, was starting to feel some conditioning returning. First time shooting against the goalie beat him 3 times but missed the net or hit the post. Second time shooting against the goalie managed 3 goals.

Running 24:00 [2]
shoes: New Balance 790

10 minute warmup, 7 minutes between intervals, 7 minutes cooldown.

Running intervals 8:59 [5] 2.8 km (3:13 / km)
shoes: New Balance 790

7*400m at the track. Starting to feel some speed again. Didn't do the full 10 intervals because I ran out of time instead of running out of gas.

Splits-
1-73.4
2-74.4
3-76.4
4-79.7
5-79.4
6-78.8
7-76.5
Avg: 77.0

3 things to be really pleased about:
1. Managed to keep all intervals below 80s
2. Negative split progression the last 4 intervals, fighting back against tiring legs
3. 3.9s per interval faster than Jan. 4

Hockey/Skating 45:00 [2]

Noonie toony shinny. Pretty scrappy today, realized at the end that I was too relaxed and my lower hand was too far up my stick which was why I was doing terribly at receiving passes and shooting. Despite the fact that we only had 6 players a side (1 sub) didn't really break a sweat too much, either I am getting into better shape or aren't trying hard enough.

10 minute warmup, 7 minutes between intervals, 7 minute cooldown

Running 24:34 [4] 6.4 km (3:50 / km)
shoes: nike air pegasus

4*1600m intervals at the track. My first 2 intervals show that my speed is still there, but I am definitely going to have to improve my training base if I want to see an improvement in my recovery.
