Run to parc de maisonneuve, with some running around in parc de la fontaine
Orienteering race 40:02 [4] ** 7.9 km (5:04 / km)

Orienteering event at Parc de Maisonneuve, a really easy course in a relatively flat open area with a bunch of copses. All I had to do was take accurate compass readings and pick out the trees. Maybe had a couple of 10 to 15 second hesitations or misdirections, but no notable mistakes. Was golden on my attacks, not a single missed one. When I finished I was about 9 minutes ahead of second place, not sure what the final result was.
First loop was 4.4km and I finished in 22 minutes, right on 5 minute kilometer pace, but was slightly slower on the second loop (3.5km in 18 minutes)

Run back home with more running around in Parc de la Fontaine. Had a little bit of difficulties on the second half, but was able to perservere with a couple of short rests and in the end felt strong again for the last 10 minutes.
Marathon training is going according to plan, today's 2.5 hours of running with a high intensity orienteering section in the middle was a really killer workout.
Note
Just registered for the Ontario Champs and the US Champs. Hope to round into form for these fall races, I wasn't in form to compete in the spring races (West Point and US Team Trials)
