Was going to go slower for these laps but the weather was so beautiful I got a bit distracted and decided to try and stay at 4;10s whilst not feeling to harsh which was actually ok, Wind was pretty killer but the beautiful heat from the sun made up for it.

Northern Champs - 1st

Absolutely no clue how I have done this because I came back thinking it was a very dodgy run, very chuffed.

1-4 spiked
5 I just didn't Plan this leg and just decided to ran it along the path and to hope to find a feature to catch me, ticked off the stream across the path then sort of winged it from there on in, Luckily i got of at the right time and frank was near the control and sort of lead me in. v. Hesitant (30s)
6- Just completely overshot it and my bearing was just a bit scrappy (15s)
7- Tried to find the big path in the bracken but never did so just boshed it along the red line and found it.
8-spiked
9-Really good bearing was going to spike it but then didn't go far enough and got confused as I couldn't see that it was in-between 2 boulders. (90s)
10- razed it down the path but hesitant into control.
11-15 spiked
16 So hesitant down the hill and lost 30s to the winning split.
17-just razzed down the hill
18- Went wayyy to fast and ran within about 3m of the control and didn't spot it (60s)
19-finish

Very happy to win the first selection race of the year.

Easy run pre-northerns - keeping the legs awake

Felt ok for first 2km then stomach felt a bit crappy but nowhere near as bad as yesterday 3*strides at end.

Had the day off today, got lots of work done but still not feeling 100% .Still hoping to run on sunday But i have a feeling my performance won't be the best.

Felt ok for first 3-4km ten got stomach ache and just had to walk felt so bloody ill. Think I have a stomach bug. Then jogged last 3km and felt ok.
