Plan before the race was to take it slow and focus on clean navigation. Kept it maybe a little too slow but navigation was fairly accurate given the area. Few bad slow route choices here and there but nothing disastrous. Hopefully some better results pending.

Felt my hip later on in the run. Don’t think the physical ness of the area helped.

Inter-Counties XC - 11th

Fast downhill start but needed to get in the group so I would have a wind shield into the 40mph gusts. Pace then reduced dramatically into the wind as no one was wanting to take it out. From then oN was just a grind, ticking people off. Brutal hill round the back where I could hear someone breathing on my neck and knew she was gonna catch me so just accepted my fate. Was spurred on nicely by alex’s “there’s a huge group gaining on you” so tried to give it one last effort.

Pretty happy given flu ect

Had slight niggle in my hip yesterday so iced it but it subsided with warm up.

Original session was 5 but cut it short due to feeling my Achilles at school today and also can still feel the cold in my chest.

Good to get the legs moving before the weekend with intercounties + northerns.
