Orienteering race (SA - Constance Bay) 52:51 [0] 6.46 km (8:11 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Trail Talon 250

Slow to get on the map today. (Embarrassed to admit I actually punched the start with my compass still in my pocket!) Ate up a bunch of time at 3 where I wrongly assumed the private property I was near was the jutting out olive green. The rest went pretty straightforward overall, with good opportunities for route choice throughout. 11 was a long running leg -- cardio definitely suffering with lack of running in recent months but hopefully can get into shape for next year.

ITB was fine during the run, but the usual post-O twinges later in the day going downstairs/inclines.

ITB various 25:00 [0]

Used my new cheat sheet list of stretches, exercises, and rolling tips, as a handy go-to for targeting the ITB.

Indoor rock climbing (class) 40:00 [0]

Learned about flagging. Neat move. Different instructor tonight and the class didn't feel as productive.

5.7s felt easier today, and for the first time I made it almost all the way to the top on a 5.8, although it seemed pretty easy, maybe more of a 5.7+. Just the top hold I couldn't get. Tried a second 5.8 and not sure if it was harder and/or my hands were just beat but could hardly get off the ground. So ended on a 5.6 again to wrap up the night.

Running 4:00 [0] 0.6 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: Nike Zoomair

[Decided to try doing a bit of non-O running again. Want to see how the leg responds to shorter more frequent running rather than just the once a week at O of late. Maybe things can be gradually built back up this way. I don’t need to be able to run ultra marathons, but to eventually get back to 5-10K for O cross-training purposes would be dandy.

Distances will be measured but times will be a guess unless entered as an accurate time.]

ITB 100% fine.
