Adventure Racing 1:59:42 [2] 6.1 mi (19:37 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Speedgoat 4 (blue/yellow)

Schuylkill Valley Family Adventure Race - Noah and Evan's Big Adventure! 1st in our division (0-3 yrs) and 3rd overall. We trekked the whole time; the only two teams ahead of us did a foot and bike course, which was a tad different.

Loads of fun as always. The course was a bit big for us - we left 5 points but it might have been clearable had we been perfect. I had a few small snafus and Noah was distracted by a walking stick that slowed him to a crawl a few times. Things sped up when Rebekah offered to carry his stick for him. There was a fun creek walk section, and some other times when we chose to cross the creek on our own!

I carried Evan and Rebekah and Noah ran to get the flags. Noah did a fantastic job, doing 6+ miles on foot with only a ~20ft carry over a deep section of water.

After the race, Noah enjoyed playing with Zoe, taking advantage of the playground, and eventually heading to the creek to throw some rocks. We finished off the day with some delicious ice cream on the way home. A terrific day!!

Mountain Bike 1:00:19 [3] 7.31 mi (8:15 / mi)

Ride at Brandywine Creek State Park while trying to kill an hour before picking Noah up from Rebekah's work party. The park was way more technical than I remembered. Would be fun on other days, but I was hoping for a simple ride to test out the newly tuned bike. Too hard for that, but I enjoyed a few challenging uphills.

Slow and steady run at Harmony Hill and the Nature Center. A bit banged up from playing volleyball at school yesterday (I'm old). My right glute was incredibly tight. Legs felt sluggish.
