Planned to go to the school track but there was a football match so just decided to do a hard-ish Run. Turned out to be a nice progression. Would have carried on for longer but needed the toilet.

Note

The JK on the whole went fairly well, a good run in the Sprint and Long, but an awful middle distance. Hopefully still in contention for Deeside. Talent squad was a long shot but still pleased I went to the selections.

An easy week next and then World Schools where hopefully I can have some good runs.

JK Long
13th(4th bottom year)

Pleased with my run- much better than yesterday.
Good through the first 8 controls, with no mistakes or major hesitations. Lost 1min30 on number9 came out on a slightly different path to the one I planned to go on and was looking in slightly the wrong section of forest, but realized soon enough and went to the correct place. Assume I took the optimum route to 10 went right through the forest avoiding the town. good on 11 and 12. On 13 was on the wrong side of the bush lost 30seconds. Ended up on slightly the wrong path on the way to 14, realized but decided to carry on the path I was on and ended up at the open area with the tower and then just went back to the main path after that and found the control fine. Probs lost at least 3mins due to hesitations and running quite a bit further. Good through the final 8 controls with no mistakes.
Overall I actually enjoyed the course and area but suffered in the heat.

Pleased with my race and no pain from knee before or after so good stuff. Only error was when I didn’t notice the cut through on 5-6 and ended up taking a longer route, maybe lost 10seconds there.
