Orienteering race 1:06:19 [5] 4.41 km (15:02 / km) +140m 12:59 / km
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D

At Voortrekker Monument. It was another hot day and I started almost last. I was happy with my navigation but my fitness sucked. I didn't make any major mistakes I was just really slow. I messed up no.3 coz I screwed up the bearing and no.18 was hidden behind a bush so I stood on top of it for a few minutes before I spotted it. Going to no.13 I virtually stopped. I was completely dead climbing the monstrous hill. I had no energy left so I didn't run much after that. I also lost my concentration so made a few minor mistakes which made me frustrated.

Orienteering race (S.A champs short) 1:00:13 [5] 2.54 km (23:42 / km) +85m 20:19 / km
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D

Hedianga. Loved the map. It was very detailed and similar to maps in Sweden. There was a lot of contour detail. The ground was a bit rugged so I barely ran. It was quite technical so going so slowly wasn't such a bad thing. I messed up no.1. I came second. Salome had a brilliant run beating me by six minutes. The other girls were quite far behind.

Running race (Inter house) 15:30 [5] 3.0 km (5:10 / km)
shoes: New Balance 477

I pushed really hard. I was going to take it easy and save my legs for champs tomorrow but kinda got carried away. I'm not completely sure about time and distance. I came 4th in the Junior section and I think 7th overall. I was only 10m behind the third person but was on the verge of vomiting so couldn't catch her. It is quite a tough route which we had to do twice. I felt pretty awful for a few hours after the race and my legs are dam sore.

As we started and came out of the gate Jeppe Boys drove passed and egged us. I luckily didn't get hit.

Running (Sasol-wichwood) 25:00 [3] 3.26 km (7:40 / km) +40m 7:14 / km
shoes: New Balance 477

Ran really slowly. I felt awful. I was half a sleep and my calves and feet were really sore. I have been planning to do the Spar ladies 5km on the 14th of Oct but have decided to do the O-event on the same day instead coz I'm not enjoying running at the moment. A five km race sounds like torture if my legs feel like this. I want to go to a physio after champs.
