Cold morning loop with Kez through Chapel Hill, up to gap ck rd and back via bardon with the main aim of doing lots of hills.. Legs were struggling on the first climb up to Russell Tce. Got over to Gap ck rd then took it really easy on the first 16% section. HR being stupid again but wasnt stopping me and actually picked up after the 2nd 16% climb. Hit the wall on the last 16% pinch and had a break up the top waited a few minutes to get my breath then my pre-ride coffee surfaced again. Wasn't too bad after that, just slow on the hills through Bardon but I was expecting before I left the house. Another Coffee and feed in S'bank then back home from there.

Riverloop plus ext. Legs sore from strength work the night before so just sat in the small chainring. Pace was better than I was expecting, plus managed to keep HR under 180 except for just before going down dornoch tce. Headwind back along coro dr hurt. Also found a tree snake on the road, turned round and chased him into a house, much safer there.
