Orienteering race (Brightview) 52:49 [3] *** 8.9 km (5:56 / km) +235m 5:15 / km

State event at Brightview. Was pouring rain as soon as we got there. Got stuck on starts till about 20min before they closed and had to race round and get ready. Legs were feeling pretty good. Smashed down all the hills but didnt exactly smash down the navigation. Ended up adding another 200-300m on to the 2nd leg. Found 7 in the wrong spot like ian said it was. Ran the long leg well but stuffed up 10 because of some slack mapping by eric but thats no excuse. Shagged the last one as well even though i'd seen people from the start going to it.

Was running round getting gear ready then got almost up to the start and realised i;d forgotten my control card. faarrrkk. good warm up though

Orienteering (Control Collecting) 30:00 [3]

Collected controls in the pissing rain. Tried some simplification and compass work after stuffing up on that today. Collected all the ones in the hills. Had to walk back down from the steep stuff cause i had a bag full of controls, about 4 stakes and a bulky water container. Twas frickin annoying.

Run (Easy Run) 36:26 [3]

Easy run round the environmental park and limestone/queens park. Think it was about 6km all up but not sure. Found dad running with the dog with about a km to go and ran with him. Did a 70m hill sprint at the end with dad and won.

Skipped my last lecture so i could get home early and go for a run before work. Was planning on about 10km but had to cut it short cause i was running slow. Legs were still tight from yesterdays session on the bike. Was first hot run in a while, was in the sun for the entire run. Need to stretch later tonight.

Went mountain biking with Kezza and Matt Ryder. Was test riding the bike I'm buying off Matt which is sweet as. Technically wasnt too bad little rusty to begin with but was getting my line right and everything by the end. Didnt stack it too much well at least not as much as Kieran. Good work out for the legs.

First run to try and get back into training. Throat and sinuses still rooted and got a sore throat again, hopefully it goes soon. Ran from my place round the 4km x-country loop and back again.
