Run out to Long pocket and back via a lap through the golf course. Picked up a cold beginning of last week, which has since turned into a chesty cough. Ran the first 14mins tempo to get the lungs working and loosen any crap in them. Good cough at the end and then cruised back. Hopefully it clears up by friday.

Quick ride into milton to pick up some gear off Macca. Got slowed up heaps cause of road works on the bikeway and traffic jams on the roads. Going to Heron Island tomorrow for a week long field trip with uni. Not sure how much training i'll get in, there are no hills and a lap of the island is under 2km....

Run round uni. Knee has loosened up a bit but still sore and both shins have got some solid bruising as well. Did 6X 20sec sprints to get the legs working again. Glute/hip better but still niggling.

OY at Cotswold. Pretty battered and bruised after this, just kept stacking hard the whole way round, left leg has a few nice cuts and knee is bruised. Started off feeling alright but must have wrecked myself from running up the first few steep hills. Messed 5 badly, ended up at 6, still cant figure out where i went. That was the only real stuff up, just felt crap on the last fast section that looped over the plateau. Had to walk the gentle uphill section after 19 cause i was that wrecked. Also missed the last control, found an angry (maybe randy) kangaroo instead.

Terrain intervals at Toohey with Kurt and Macca, well mainly with Kurt cause we lost Macca on the first rep, found him after the 2nd rep, then lost him again on the 3rd. Did 4X 3.50min-4.30min. Times varied cause the route wasnt marked so wobbled a bit. Finished off with a 15min jog back to the cars. Hip held up alright but still crap.

Run round uni. Can still run, just all right hip muscles feel uncomfortable/tight. Have managed to release some of them using ITB roller and tennis ball

Putting out controls at opossum ck for tomorrows race. Times a guess cause didnt have a watch. Got something wrong with my right hip/glute. Feels really tight and uncomfortable, doesnt stop me running but might need to go to the witch doctor again.

Run with Rachel on the single track round Gold Ck Reservoir, plus short run along firetrail that goes to Sth Boundary rd. Pretty cool run, time includes ~10mins searching for the track bout halfway round.
