Had a pretty good run. Stuffed round on the long leg. Finished 5th.

Easy run to loosen up legs as i haven't been able to do anything else due to work and it storming outside. Did 3.5km then ran through some bush to get me in the mood for this weekend. Won't be in the mood tomorrow when i'm picked up at 4.45am by the airport express.

Stocktaking at work for 9 hrs, so in other words shifting a shitload of timber, counting it, then putting it back. Was meant to be working 11hrs but got off early. Yay paid for 2hrs of no work.

My event was on today. Went pretty well except for two people whinging that a control was in the wrong spot which was a crock of shit. Collected controls after. 90+ people showed up.

Wasn't feeling to crash hot and wasn't really warmed up till 3.5km into it. And it was a pretty boring run as well. Might knock off red 1 tomorrow.

Legs are stuffed from yesterday, especially the muscle above my left knee. So tried to warm it up a bit on the bike which helped for a bit but now its sore again. Not sure whether its an injury or not.

Went mountain biking with kieran at Gap Creek Reserve. Pretty awesome tracks out there, had one major stack but didn't injure myself. So going there again.

Last OY for this year at a new map at Dalby which is too far away. Hit the first control alright then kinda went downhill after that with all my bearings being off by heaps which was weird. Smashed myself on some rocks coming out of 9 and got a nice cut on my arm. After ten found my rhythm and started hitting the controls cleanly but that section of the map was shit cause it was full of fallen timber. Suprisingly only 2mins off kierans time but sounds like he had similar problems to me. The map didnt get a field check so probably guessing mapping is slightly skewed.

Hill run at Denmark Hill. Felt great, haven't felt that comfortable running in ages. Smashed my pb up all the hills and for the entire course.

Sprint Sessions at uni with kieran. Decided to do fartleking today, did 3X (3min hard,3min easy, 2min hard,2 min easy, 1min hard, 3 min easy) Havent added easy run distance in above total, only for the hard running. Not running like i want too, was slow, about 3.30 for 1km. Was fast enough over the 2min and 1min sprints. Thanks for bailing again laurina.

Went to uni to with kieran to get his new mountain bike and ended up riding it about 5mins after it left the store to guyatt park cause we needed the car. Pretty good ride, bit risky through uni traffic though.

Clive's Training at Gap Ck. Did 2X 3km loop(12controls) in pairs, whilst swapping the map between legs then did it in reverse. Went with laurina and I made sure she was smashed by the end ;). First loop did 35mins, second loop 36km.

Taped last lot of control sites at hardings paddock. Started raining just after we started and there was some thunder and lightning. Couldn't see after a while cause of the rain so had to loose the glasses. Areas looking pretty good to run on in a fortnight.

Moutain Biking (Ride at Denmark Hill) 45:00 [2]

Went for a ride at Denmark Hill envrionmental park because i didn't feel like running. Most of the trails are still there but i'm seriously lacking some technical riding ability at the moment cause i came off a couple of times. Its been a good part of a year since i last did any proper mountain biking. Went up to Limestone park and stuffed round there for a bit as well

Mid week at Queens Park. Was feeling alright before i started but as soon as i got to the first control my heart started palpitating. Sorta felt like i'd been punched in the chest. So my time was pretty shit. Might go for a slowish run later to see if its fixed up

Clive was away today but he set us a long run up Mt Coot-tha and round gap Ck. Was pretty comfortable running except for crawling up the side of Mt Coot-tha which was on a dirt track that was close to vertical. Dont think Clives ever been up there before. Was trying to do under an hour but legs went about 1km from the end and kieran ended up burning me by 2mins. By the way, 'filth! way to abandon us laurina, i thought u were a mighty duck!

Training run on the 4km cross country loop. Was considering doing 6km but became unmotivated and tired because of how slow and crap I was running. I was also hungry so that was more incentive to go home.

Went out the back way through old ladys yard to avoid being swooped but got tracked down and attacked. Luckily another magpie came to the rescue and attacked the one that was swooping me. Found big lump of wood to wield on the way home.

Checking out controls sites for state event in a couple of weeks. Found out that my blue course is rooted as an entire fence is missing etc. Not happy now.

Local Club event. Pretty dodgey course because of controls being placed in wrong spot etc. Ended up doing a pretty shit time but can't do much about that.
