So happy to spike every control for once.
Hadn't quite recovered from illness which meant for a hard race.
Was going good until 7 where I started to feel tired.
Got through that leg resting on the down hills. Followed Laura through the next two to try to recover. But as soon as I got on the fell I hit the wall and walked to 10. Tried to run to some of the next few controls but was really struggling. Descended pretty quick towards the end to make up some time but was still 8 mins off Pete and Matt.
But really happy with the result based on the circumstances.
