dog bones at edmonds cc!

fun format - the CYA/dog bones-ness meant you could race with someone on a bone but then split up and have no sense of how you were actually doing overall vs them. i ended up finishing first in women (!) - ing had finished the first map just ahead of me, so i expected it to be close with her and it was - she came in less than a minute after me.

definitely a relief to download and confirm i had, indeed, done all the dog bones. :)

vampire o at lynnwood golf course!

lots of newcomers which was really cool to see. a really fun and funny race. running on the golf course at night went much better than the last time i was here (SART 2017?) and my headlamp broke partway thru the course.

having the element of needing to avoid the vampires to keep my punchcard was fun - ended up being more circuitous at times or ducking behind trees when potential vampires were about. then sprinting between safe zones of the control circles to not got bitten... lol.

managed to finish with my original punchcard despite a bunch of vampires milling around right near the finish. whew!

first long economy run in a while so took new trail shoes to discovery park. decided to practice moving on various kinds of terrain - trail, sand, rock, logs, gravel, etc. pretty fun and more interesting than usual!
