GOC Long - re-run at Big Red Barn. Frustrating - had continual problems with my direction & distance judgement. With the result that on a number of legs I lost confidence in my plan & had to relocate and make a plan B. Paul caught me by #13 - he started 5mins behind! Worked hard to get away from him, but could only pull away by a minute. To make matters worse my right calf strained on the way to #13. Managed to change my foot-strike to protect the calf.

Early start putting out controls for our Hennops Event.
Then control collecting afterwards. Thank goodness for the Duster!
All in all a pretty decent event - there were some comments about #12 on Brown. If anything the area is under-mapped here. Combination of path to the west & fence running NW -SE need some work + some of the crags. Both Zig & I had visited the site on a number of ocassions! Probably need to visit again outside of the pressure of an event.

Combination of major problem to #9, allergy/chest tightness from past week + some misplaced controls meant I lost interest about 1/2 way round.
Tried to focus on using some legs as training legs, but couldn't get into it.

Placing stakes at some control sites of the event tomorrow. Only sites that are off the beaten track as we've lost stakes there before.

Note

Been really struggling since Tuesday 16th with sinuses and chest. Either a virus or allergies. Feeling a bit better today.

Tried the Intermediate "Posture" core program. A few exercises need working on, i.e. "Swim" and some I've been doing as part of my original programme, i.e. "Bridge"
