Orienteering race (Mountain Marathon) 1:31:59 [4] **** 10.5 km (8:46 / km) +380m 7:25 / km

The yearly tough one know as the mountain marathon. Took course two which is the offical course for my age group and not the longer course. Woke up this morning with a streaming nose so i think with the run up to jwoc it was better to take it a little easier. Had a pretty decent run. Physically i am not quiet there yet and the monstor hills in the mohales area cause alot of walking up the hills. Came first for the course but did not beat the predicted winning time. Probably lost about 7 min due to mistakes and 1 due to a misplaced control. One route choice was not the best but i was confident that my choices were the best for the rest. The course was not to technical despite a few tough legs. The open area really helps to judge ur possition, that said with the faulty compass i was using the hills were hard to distinguish.

Took it pretty easy. Planned to do a long one but woke up with a sore and scratchy thout. Got into a comfortable rythm and found the fun easy and did not feel like i was running anything close to te pace i was. Guess that is encouraging

Class was pretty interesting today. Have my first grading next week so we did a recap of everyting and then a buch of new stuff that was decided that we would be tested on. I am not gonna rember it though. its kwl stuff like neck stricks and a takedown move. Squats are still killing my quads though

Mixed it up a bit today. Took the first 2 km at a pretty quick pace. Slowed the pace down by about 10s per km for the next two km and then pushed hard the last 1.5 km. This route is always pretty tough with the hills. Felt pretty good
