Running 24:16 [3] 5.0 km (4:51 / km)
shoes: Puma Faas 300

Claisebrook Cove Park run. Thought I might as well do this as we were kid free and I can just about manage 5k at the moment but I was a bit worried about my ability to avoid getting competitive. Found it difficult to judge how hard I was working, particularly early on, but I think I got it about right. Pretty happy with the run, felt as though I could have gone a lot faster if I was allowed to push it. Seemed like a really nice event, pretty keen to come back and have another go when I'm allowed to race.
Rachel looked very comfortable running 21:10 and still looked very fresh and light on her feet warming down.

Running 23:00 [3] 4.25 km (5:25 / km)

Easy run in KP mostly on concrete paths. Intended to go a bit further but I was feeling pretty tired, didn't sleep much last night.

Note

Halter monitor 2 weeks ago showed a few different odd rhythms but no actual fibrillation. Cardiologist still thinks it could go either way. Might have a better idea in another 6 weeks when I'll do a stress test. No racing before the stress test but I can switch from pradaxa to aspirin and keep building the low intensity training although he does think I built up a bit too fast last week.
Stress test was initially scheduled for the Monday after state champs but I got it changed to the Thursday before.

Running 32:36 [3] 6.3 km (5:10 / km)
shoes: Nike Free 3.0

Steady run in KP. Felt quite good from the start and got into a nice rhythm on the flat at times but felt a bit tired on the hills. Definitely starting to tire in the last km or two despite it being all downhill. Calves still struggling to adapt to doing a bit of work again.

Running 28:00 [3] 4.0 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Free 3.0 V4

Tired. Didn't want to get out of bed and still felt tired when I did eventually get out so cut it short and did some drills on Rosalie. In AFib before I started the drills, maybe I was the whole time but didn't feel it until I stopped to do drills.
Drills and strides felt good apart from the lack of oxygen.
AFib continued for about half an hour afterwards then vision went a bit patchy for half an hour when I rode to work.
