Running - road or flat warm up/down (warmup) 6:18 [3] 0.66 mi (9:33 / mi)

Running - road or flat 14:58 [4] 1.54 mi (9:43 / mi)

Speed work "around the block". Six pickups of 0.11 to 0.21 miles at average pace of 8.6 min/mile, jogging about one minute or 0.1 mile in between. Have to get ready for the Pineland 10 k trail race in a few weeks. Nice that the rain stopped while I was running. Felt pretty good considering the previous days.

Running - road or flat warm up/down (cooldown) 4:42 [2] 0.31 mi (15:09 / mi)

Walk/Hiking/Snowshoe (birding) 50:00 [1] 1.7 mi (29:25 / mi)

Birding with Suzanne and Ann at River Point and Gilsland Farm. Not human-powered, but we found a few year birds including a brown thrasher.

Biking (birding) 48:00 [2] 9.6 mi (5:00 / mi)

So after noon I went back on my bike to Gilsland Farm and then on to Mackworth. Total time over four hours; distance split into biking and walking distances at my usual paces. Added eleven new bird species to bring my HPYL to 89. Best was a pair of American widgeon at Mackworth. A lovely day, though the 30+ mph sea "breeze" at Mackworth was quite a blast.

Walk/Hiking/Snowshoe (birding) 50:00 [1] 2.5 mi (20:00 / mi)

Biking (birding) 1:07:00 [2] 13.34 mi (5:01 / mi)

Planned a long bike ride to Cape Elizabeth today, but it was a cool gray morning with rain approaching. So I decided to just explore Evergreen Cemetery and Capisic Pond Park. Sprinkles started on the way to Evergreen; steady rain started a bit later. Birds were very quiet but I added three new species for the year, including a vesper sparrow at Capisic Park. Should have worn rain pants to go with my rain top. Parts of me were soaked when I got home after two hours total time.
