Biking 3:00:00 [1] 37.0 mi (4:52 / mi)

Twelve hours of "human-powered" birding, two miles and three hours walking (not logged), 37 miles in 9 hours by bike. Difficult to decide how many effective hours - 3 hours gives an average of about 12 mph. West Side Road to Conway, 113 to Fryeburg, East Conway and North-South Rds home with various little side trips. 83 species - better than I expected for not having birded much of it before.

Ran the Jackson 10 km course ("the toughest 10 K in New England") plus Rt 16 with Heather. Not too bad a time for not pushing. Legs felt sore much of time; when will they recover? We managed to finish before today's rain started.

Forced myself to go out and run to Cranmore and back. Almost as fast coming back (uphill) as going out (downhill). Got rained on for a while.

Biked downtown and back doing errands. Didn't feel motivated to add weight work. Spent a couple of hours birding in the morning, but only a mile or so walking.

HM Rd and woods, RR track, to WW field, downhill and flat so pushed some.

Pushed and wheezed the Miler "Fun Run" in Whittaker Woods. Couldn't keep up the pace and got passed by a group of five. Almost went swimming in one "pond" but rest of course dry. Not bad I suppose for two days after the Goat.

Back home after race with a little extra with the group. Same route as going in, but this way it's flat and up.Legs feeling pretty sore.

Village road. Felt quite good.
