Flying Pig Classic at Elk Creek Park

Red (7.7 km)

Very fast terrain with pretty straightforward navigation. Felt like an extended sprint. Some interesting route choices around bodies of water. Went well overall. A few bobbles:

9 - Went to the small reentrant just to the N first.
14 - Drifted N and ran to the depression, which also had a flag, before correcting to the reentrant.
17 - Cut in to the woods with a vague attackpoint. Some hesitation before I spotted the flag.
19 - My shoe fell off in the mud! Stopped to put it back on.

Flying Pig Middle at Pyramid Hill

Red (4.2 km)

Went quite well. It was open terrain, so I did a good job of reading ahead and exiting cleanly. Ran up all the steep hills. Training in hilly terrain is paying off! Only had a couple mistakes.

1 - Missed the trail I wanted and had to go through the green up the hill. Found a game trail to follow, so it wasn't too bad.
3 - Didn't expect the earth bank along the edge of the creek to be so high. Lost a little time finding a spot to get down.
11 - Wasn't paying attention to where I cut in from the trail. Luckily the woods were very open so I looked around and spotted the flag.
