Easy lunch time run. For a change ran down Limestone Ave and ended up at Reid Oval, where I saw the Industry Group doing their weekly interval session. Fast looking group with Marty Dent and someone who might have been Mark Bourne.

Twilight event at Black Mountain. Aim was to consciously slow down approaching the controls - traffic light stuff - I even marked a slow down line before the controls in the first half of the course as a reminder. It worked ok until I lost discipline right at the end when I got caught by Emil, the visiting Swede. Should have used the map without tracks for some extra challenge but I didn't know it was available. Lost some time not keeping direction carefully enough: I ran ~300m/5.7% further than Craney which is worth 1:30 at the pace I was running. Ended up nearly 4min/14.4% behind (who's been doing a national squad application?).
Good session on foam roller and more pointy things, some stretching, plus ankle mobility and some Achilles exercises with just body weight to help settle them down (I'd noticed some tenderness in the last week)
