Running 1:00:00 [4] 11.0 km (5:27 / km) +200m 5:00 / km
shoes: New Balance M870 BY3

Around Bruce Ridge with 8 x 1min with 1min easy jog recovery, except that I extended a couple of recoveries to avoid doing the efforts up bigger hills. Felt alright, GPS is still getting repaired so not sure of pace.

Cycling 49:00 [3] 11.2 km (13.7 kph) +125m

School drop-off again and again headed up to Bruce Ridge for a quick spin on the way home, following my nose on some single track. Saw lots of bunnies off Dryandra St - I'll have to show Ewan.

Cycling 36:00 [1] 6.3 km (10.5 kph)

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)

Orienteering race 19:00 [4] 3.3 km (5:45 / km)
shoes: Asics Hyperspeed 4

Twilight sprint at ANU. Good course; lots of challenging legs through complex buildings. One control was a in a bit of dodgy location which was cause for a bit of debate after. Didn't feel super but had an ok run apart from some sloppiness checking descriptions and messing up the dodgy control. A fair way behind Lachy and Matt Crane.

Cycling 45:00 [2] 10.6 km (14.1 kph) +100m

With Ewan on his first ever ride to school after a week of preparations! He did fine and the trip went smoothly. The ride is only 3km, cruisey and flat but I still had to carry his backpack half the way! Afterwards I took advantage of my current lack of commitment to an employer and took a detour through some single-track on Bruce Ridge on the way home, which was good fun even though my skills are terrible. This is not suprising given that I've barely ridden a bike in years let alone an mtb on anything remotely tricky.

Cycling 35:00 [1] 6.8 km (11.7 kph)

After school pickup. Ewan did really well again despite the heat this afternoon but he needed a couple of little breaks. I'm looking forward to seeing him get stronger and more confident.on the bike. We discovered that some bike paths should be avoided after school because they are congested with pedestrian school escapees. I also learnt that by myself I can get from home to school easily under 10min.
