Had to skip the long run due to time constraints so squeezed in short hilly run, an ascent of Coot-tha with a bit of extra climbing. This is part of my training plan leading up to Aus champs, which is to add more hills and build some strength. I may also add some some hill sprints and terrain running. My right ankle, which I sprained last Sunday, was good except for when I jammed it on a rock, should be right soon.

Interesting observation: my HR up Coot-tha was a fair bit lower than I expected from my perceived effort and breathing rate. I'd have thought the two were tightly coupled.

Did another short walk, from Binna Burra this time. Not the most scenic trail but saw lots of scrub wrens and a pademelon.

Note

Walked with the family from O'Reillys to Picnic Rock for a picnic. The weather was beautiful and so lunch and the subsequent rock hopping was very enjoyable. I was excited to see my first Lamington Crayfish in a pool there. Ewan coped with the 6km and 200m climb really well, so different to the last time we were here two years ago.
