Another rest day. Spent the morning finalising the purchase of our new car and the rest of the afternoon using the new car to shop and then cleaning the house and preparing to have some friends around for dinner.

Had planned a run with Thomas Nipen at lunch but he decided to do some speed-skating instead. I suspect the weather had something to do with that, eh Thomas? Ah well, I didn't want to run in it either.

Recovery spin on the exercise bike at work followed by stretching and a hot/cold shower.

Run from work to Adrian's house for the TNT and FWOC AGM.

Wed night orienteering from Adrian's house. Nice little course utilising a bit of the suburbs and Nose Creek park. Left shin ached a bit to start but it went away; otherwise felt strong but didn't push very hard. Running distance = 5.7km.

Note

In the presence of a strange vacuum at the FWOC AGM last night I became club president. Hmmm … I wonder if this is at little work as everyone says …

Warm up on the treadmill for a massage. I'd forgotten that the treadmill at work tops out at 6min/km so I had to work up the angle to 5 (deg?).

Note

Massage from the new masseuse at work. Not quite up to level of the previous one so I might have to try elsewhere. She was quite young so it's probably just a lack of experience. The previous one was a runner too, which definitely helped.

Wasn't able to get out for a run today, so did a quick yoga/strength session at home. The usual stuff.
