Hall to Mulligan's Flat leg of the Centenary Trail with dad. Nice morning and good to do long and gentle run. My legs were a little tired but coped okay. Groin soreness crept in a little but stayed at a low level. Maintained a Suunto performance level of 55!

3km time trial on the grass track at Dickson, paced by Lachy Dow who generously dragged himself out of bed to help out. Wasn't sure what to expect as a) haven't done a 3km in about 5 years b) have never done one on a grass track, and c) have barely run in 7 weeks. So not the sub-10min I've been thinking I could do if I was fit but considering the track probably on par with the 10:20 I recorded on the UQ synthetic track a few years ago.

My max HR for this was pretty low. I would expect it to get up to nearly 190 in this sort of effort.

Upon downloading, I found my Suunto had decided that this was worthy of a 'performance level' of 54, which is the highest value I've recorded since Suunto introduced performance levels 3-4 months ago. Then I saw that it had rated my slow jog home afterwards a 55! Sort of blows my confidence in that metric.

Nice jog with robw from Cook up Mt Painter so I could check it out, through Aranda and an ascent up Little Black Mt before coming back. Saw a bunch of orienteers and picked up GrantM for 5min in the middle of his much longer run. Neither Rob or I have run much lately and I think we were both finding it a bit tough in the last 20min.

Late night jog to celebrate the end of work for the year. Well, sort of the end. I may end up having to do a few bits and pieces next week. Went for a nice easy jog around Lyneham ridge, stopped for a few minutes with my light off on top of the little hill to enjoy the tranquility. Nice to be running.

Out-and-back from Thredbo village up the river to Dead Horse Gap with dad. Great trail and had fun zipping back down. Hips/groin got sore on the downhill though and stayed sore, which stopped my more ambitious plans of a run up on the range the following morning.
