Tired from lack of sleep but ok enough run except 10’ on one route choice, oh and I missed out a control for the first time in ages. HFA.

So. Flipping. Hot. (27C) But quite dry heat so body didn’t feel too bad, except I thought my head would explode. Which luckily it didn’t.

Man vs Dodgy Topo Map.
Man 2, Dodgy Map 1.

In the South of France for a few days and I found some nice looking trail run maps around our village on the Interweb, which I printed out and took along.

Unfortunately, I omitted to check the age of said maps so the reality did not always correspond to the map, but actually I really love this sort of navigating-by-the-seat-of-my-pants. I was generally in control except once getting stuck in a thicket and once getting lost in a newly built industrial area.

Some lovely views at times and beautiful weather, if a little warm already.
