#Didn't start GPS after warm-up. Totally weak and feeble on the normal Monday night race. This time around the 2nd black boy so a bit further. Suppose to be expected after racing so hard in the weekend.

Orienteering race 22:20 [5]

Felt stuffed right from the start, but course was pretty easy. Dropped maybe 20-30 on no 8, by being stupid. Ended up in 5th which which shows that I'm possibly running not as bad as I think.

Orienteering race 29:00 [5]

I knew this was going to be a toughh one, starting at the start of a chasing group of 6 dudes who are all pretty quick. Held them off through the first 6 controls, although I could hear a lot of puffing behind. It became apparent that Toby, Matt and I were on the same loop. Toby made an error and dropped off, leaving me and Matt. Leaving the final pivot, looked behing and spotted the others about a minute down. Held it together to the end, finished in 5th after Matt sprinted me off.
I seem to be running at a similar pace to the most people, which is a big improvement from a few months ago, where I would have been smashed in a race like this one.

Orienteering 42:35 [3]

WOC Trials Middle distance.
Was determined to do a bit better this afternoon. Rumor had it that it was going to be tricky, so I was hopeful it would result in some of the faster dudes blowing out. Started off ok, through the easy ones, then caught Greg on the first one in the low vis. From there ran on and off with Greg for the rest of the course. Lots of hesitations and lacking smothness, but managed to avoid any major mistakes. Somehow managed to pull out 2nd, behind Ross.
10 AM

Orienteering 20:00 [3]

WOC Trials sprint distance.
Had a bad attitude going into this race after a bad couple of weeks training. Got up to about 80% speed and had no motivation to push harder, so just kind of cruised along. Looking at the results I was probably easily fast enough for a top 10, if I had wanted it. Dissapointed with my mental weakness.
