Running race 13:00 [5] 3.0 km (4:20 / km)

Arrived halfway through the sprint camp in Canberra, so started with a 3km time trial. had very low expectations given lack of recent speed work, so made sure not to run too fast and blow up. The first few laps were good - passing many of the juniors who went out too fast. Then a few steady laps in the middle, but tightened up a bit in the last couple of laps. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be!

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]

warm up for 3k, then warm down games afterwards.

Running warm up/down 40:00 [1]

warm ups and warm downs for training and race, and running drills with Kelly.

Orienteering 20:00 [5]

Sprint intervals at commonwealth park.

Orienteering race 25:38 [5] 3.0 km (8:33 / km)

Sprint race at CSIRO. no legs or brain left for this. pity, as its a great area and I really didn't get a chance to race properly.

Running intervals 12:00 [5]

first interval session since before aus champs. did 6x400 on 2min on the SMT oval. the first few were ok, but my legs just don't have any speed and I really died in the last ones. Times were 89, 88, 90, 95, 100, 99.

did this session as a big storm rolled in. the lightning was very impressive and was lighting up the whole sky, although it started to get a bit close and I was a bit nervous to be out on the oval.
the power has been flicking off a bit since then... I hope it stays on long enough to cook dinner, and watch the tennis!

Running 1:25:00 [3]

Sunday afternoon run with the chapel hill loop extension. very tired and ploddy, and I think I was a bit over cooked for most of this.
