Ride from Broulee to Canberra Jarrad. Relaxed start with coffee and a muffin at the muffin shop in Mossy pt before heading off at 830. Took Larry's Mtn rd for a change chich has a nice climb but got first puncture after 20km perhaps. Was using a 30mm cyclocross tyre on my mtb specific road rims and I think they just didn't have enough volume - or i'm too fat and was going too fast. Got a 2nd after 35km and put the call in for a lift home from the chicks who hadn't left yet. Sent Jarrad on his way solo and patched the tube and just started rolling to Araluen. Ended up beating the girls there and since their car was pretty chockers already I could actually flog some 29er wheels. Took Beth's front and Milly's rear (since beth is a fancy pants 10-speed and had no tool to change the stack). Quick burger w lot at the pub then off up the nast hill to Major's ck. Rest of the ride was a struggle and Jarrad was noticably faster on his 'cross bike which doesn't help the state of mind. Nice tail wind thru hoskinstown and along Capts flat rd. I just sat on for 50km and got home. Pretty glad to get it over with to be honest. I've said I wouldn't do this ride again 3 weeks ago and have....I DEFINITELY won't now :)

Happy with that. Still on the improve but felt like I was going OK.

Struggled home to cafe Dunne for porridge and coffees on our fancy new machine courtesy of my folks :)

2 runs in 2 days....phoar!!
Achilles wasn't an issue yesterday and the shoulder was OK so just trotted around central basin at lunch. Need to do some intervals and get some speeed in me :)
