City loop with Brent - lots of slowing and accelerating at lights and stop signs, plus some new-to-us overgrown single- and double-track to explore.

Ride time: 3:07:48. 90+ degrees when we finished.

Note

Opted to go to Sesame Place today instead of driving down to Delaware to get the bike looked at. Rob was able to triage over the phone and came to the conclusion that it's just a lemon of a brake, to be replaced Tuesday. Rideable-ish in the meantime.

Bike - Roads 1:30:20 [3] 19.13 mi (12.7 mph) +1019ft

Forbidden Drive and Green Ribbon Trail, with surface roads connecting the loop. I've been having some issues with my new bike -- lots of ghost shifting, some crazy rotor rubbing/squealing -- and generally just feeling like a slug when I'm riding it. Today I adjusted the rotor and shifters a few times during this ride and got a little bit of relief but was still feeling super slow. Then I got home and discovered that my back wheel wasn't spinning freely at all. So, a little bit of vindication. Brent and I both played with it, but we just couldn't free it up. Maybe something with the compatibility of the brake with the niner?

Taking it back to the shop Saturday for the routine new purchase tuneup and also to get these issues dealt with.

In other news, I ran into a bunny and a giant buck, riding through FWSP. Not Sony's bear, but still fun.

ahr:143 max:162 shoes: Brooks Launch 3 - Black

First run since Iceland and achilles is still tight, so decided to be uncharacteristically conservative and cut it short. Felt nice to be out, otherwise.
