Running 21:36 [3] 2.96 km (7:18 / km)

Wow..I figured out how to sync my watch to my phone and it automatically enters training to Strava and AP!! Not sure if I’m a fan of that or not yet..

Legs are so sore from the weekend but I really wanted to explore from our camp in Mundulla - it’s so special that this town is surrounded by lovely native woodlands, highly recommend it as a camp stopover just off the Adelaide-Melbourne road!
Saw a man out taking his tortoise for a walk..

Aus Relays, second leg after Bridget had a really good run on first leg. I didn't have a good run - in hindsight I think I went out with quite a negative mindset and defeatist attitude about how sore and unfit I felt after the long race. Physically felt spent and couldn't 'push and HR was no where near as high as yesterday. Technically made quite a few errors in the goldmining (esp 1, 10) - mainly struggled with keeping direction and orientation and was extremely put off by the lack of north lines. I guess at least that means I do use my compass..

Note

Felt really nauseous about an hour after the run and massive headache in the evening.

Aus Long distance champs, Nuggety Range out of Maldon. So tough and so long!! Physically I was in survival mode - I started pretty conservatively because I knew it was going to be a long outing but I did push hard and I’m really just happy I made it round.
I found all controls cleanly, maybe because I wasn’t going very fast but also there was a lot of tracking in the grass in the rocky area and the control placements weren’t too hard.
Not happy with my route choice on the long leg to #16 - initially I thought around to the right was the obvious way but then counted the contours and saw it was pretty much equal and left was shorter and I didn’t want to do any extra distance.. but the steep hill at the start was brutal and very slow.
Also should have taken the track to the left to #19 but I didn’t look that wide even though I thought I was being smart going relatively wide left.
Overall happy to survive and have a pretty clean run, but also so miss being fit. Knee was still a bit sore and unstable walking but was no problem at all running.
14th, 16 mins behind Grace. Mostly of that on running speed.

Note

Right knee not really functioning, can’t walk normally without sharp pain and adjusting my walking subconsciously to manage. Just hope it will magically be ok when I start running (which it often does)..
