Orienteering race (Easter Day 3) 50:40 [5] *** 6.86 km (7:23 / km)
spiked:12/15c shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Lost 30 seconds in the circle at 3 (caught by Mel) and then a bit too far right on 4 and found other control - corrected pretty quickly cause I knew I hadn't gone far enough so only lost 40 sec or so... then saw Mel again at 7 and rushed out - brain just died a bit even though I told myself to be careful! Got all muddled with which watercourse I was crossing and apparently didn't check my direction, ended up on a rocky hill and relocated very quickly to race down to the control! Grr. But then 9 was good, happy with route choice, and then it was just running and I was just fading! Had a couple of gels (5 and 11) - didn't want a repeat of yesterday, but it kind of happened anyway.

Orienteering race (Easter Day 2) 1:08:50 [5] *** 9.17 km (7:30 / km)
spiked:14/16c shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Longest race in a while, so was a bit nervous how I would hold up, but surprised myself feeling good considering, up until spectator, where I should have had another gel but rushed and then completely blew the next control #12. Didn't check direction and just aaargh, very stupid, lost 5 minutes. Then bearing slightly off on 13 lost 30 sec. Another 30 seconds lost in hesitation at the end of the long leg meant my time could have been a lot better. Route choice was good though, happy with my decisions. Left heel sore even with second skin.

Warmup/down 15:00 [3]

Should have done more. Quads were super sore after prologue, and day 1 still, but today started to feel a little better.

Orienteering race 42:20 [5] *** 5.15 km (8:13 / km)
spiked:16/17c shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Really happy with navigation apart from #2, where hestitation in route choice, then finally choosing but doing a stupid ending and losing time culminated in about 3 and a bit minutes down on the other girls that leg. Got passed/caught quite a bit, but managed to keep my head which was good. Very physical getting in and out of erosion, and the forest was so open I just couldn't take advantage of it like the others. Lost maybe 10sec on 16 just not looking up at the contours and missing the gully first look. New shoes giving some lovely blisters.

Orienteering race (Easter Prologue) 23:01 [5] *** 3.8 km (6:03 / km)
spiked:20/25c shoes: Saucony Cortana 4

Overran 5 and 9, route choice/map reading small errors on 18, 19 and 22.
Fun course, but felt absolutely knackered fitness wise. No huge blowouts though so a huge improvement on this time last year!!! Glasses snapping before the start made for a good distraction...
