Cycling (Stationary) 55:00 [2] 17.08 mi (18.6 mph)
weight:57.6kg

Level 11, Random, 471c.
After more yard work in the waning daylight and then dinner, went for an easy spin to loosen up the legs. Both hamstrings have been sore the last 2 days. Looks like it will be a while longer before I feel up to speed again.

Stretching warm up/down 5:00 [1]

before bed.

Note
(rest day)

Legs pretty tired today. Decided it wasn't worth the 5+hr drive (one way) alone to do the SMOC meet. Could've still gone for a ride in this wonderful weather, but took it easy instead. Went to a birthday party, and also spent some more time doing yard work. So at least I got to be outside enjoying the sun.

Event: HVO A-Meet

Running (Road) 1:25:57 [2] 9.3 mi (9:15 / mi)
slept:5.0 shoes: Pearl iZumi Float

50s (and rising), sunny - 1/2 Pig training group run from Newport in a picture perfect day. Most everyone did 11, but I cut out the downtown loop to keep the mileage in single digit. Still taking it easy. Legs feeling much better now, though downhill still hurts.

Stretching warm up/down 4:00 [1]

Note

Spent the afternoon mowing the lawn and doing yard work. Wasn't strenuous enough to count as "training" but I was still beat at the end of the day.

Cycling (Stationary) 45:00 [2] 15.02 mi (20.0 mph)
weight:57.5kg

Level 6, Manual, 415c.
Easy spin. Legs still not feel quite up to snuff.

Stretching warm up/down 8:00 [1]

After biking.

Running (Track) 18:49 [2] 2.0 mi (9:24 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Landreth II

Low 50s, overcast - Ran easy around the WH track while the Pig-bound runners put in their last speed session. Quads still sore on every strides taken, but I think this light activity will be good for me. At least I'm running unlike Tuesday.

Stretching warm up/down 4:00 [1]

Post-run, while watching parts of the WH vs. IH girls soccer game.

Stairs, I still hate you!

Tuesday Apr 17, 2007 #

Running (Road) 1:29:00 [1] 5.52 mi (16:07 / mi) +73m 15:29 / mi
shoes: Pearl iZumi Float

68F, partly cloudy - Back to the nice, warm, sunny Midwest!

1/2 Pig training group run. No, I didn't RUN. Couldn't have even if I wanted to. I just did the route with the slower walkers, as an active recovery for my legs. Everyone in the group was super nice. I received a card and a cookie cake afterwards. In return, I retold my story about 10 different times. :)

I'm hating all stairs and down ramps right now. Getting up and sitting down ain't fun either! Flying back from Boston's Logan to Columbus this morning, you could tell who ran the marathon yesterday (aside from their BM gears) - those who're walking around funny! My quads are killing me.
