Around part of Reykjavík in medium rain. Not too windy. Memory-O was not too successful - had to Google map it several times.

Family hike on dirt road. Out and back. Nothing too interesting this time. Turns out the possible riverside looping trail would've been too rough (or absent) for non-AR types.

Hike from hotel around Bæjargil gorge from the hotel, with Reed. Steep and stony dirt/mud at the beginning and end. 1/2 - 12" snow on the upper parts. Had to keep going until we could find a feasible steam crossing, which led us to a flat/domed upper area which gave beautiful views of snowy peaks including Ok glacier. The turnaround point of a stream crossing on broken ice blocks was a conflict of paternal-filial protectiveness and paternal aversion to out-and-backs.

Driving tour of Snæfellsnes peninsula. 3 stops to walk/hike around different attractions. A snowy narrow slot canyon (Raudfeldargjá), bluffy coast at Arnarstapi and watching the ferocious surf on black Djúpalónssandur beach.

Family hiking to/in lava tube Vidgelmír and, after lunch, 3.8 mi hike from Húsafell on muddy doubletrack, rocky/sandy shorelines and peaty technical trails in stunted birch forests between rivers Hvita and Kalda. Awesome novel terrain.
