Orienteering 2:25:00 [3]

Day 2 at West Point, day did not start too well and decided to listen to my body - a horrible night's sleep and an aching body, I was ready to fall asleep on the drive there. I decided to take it easy to start and had the goal of finishing the day. Messy start as brain was not in tune and seemed to circle the first two controls for quite some (frustrating) time.Took it slow after that and nav was quite good once I got away from the Rocky cliffs, until I met them again that is! Did circles around #12 and finally called it a day as I was getting too the exhausted clumsy stage. Disappointed I did not get them all but would have been very angry if I left injured (so happy with my decision). A fun weekend with the DGL gang! Boys did great which was nice to see!

Tough day today, took it slow to start to get used to the map - beautiful area but such a different map. Souch rock and hill! Two small errors - cut in too early for 7 and how to head back to trail and relocate and ran past 11, had to back track. After 9 ran out of energy, made some pretty big falls! Very sore to end but happy I did it! Fantastic area minus the blueberries!!!! Got the funniest sunburn - if sunburns can ever be labelled 'funny'.

Got up at 5:30 and jumped in the hot tub followed by rolling my legs. Felt better but at the end of the day they my ankle is swollen. A bit frustrating, hopefully it holds up okay this weekend!

Trail Running 40:00 [3]

4 times around the nav course with Red and Yellows tonight. Tried out new insoles in my innov8s to see if that helps with the foot pain.... Not sure. Lots of tenderness in lower legs. Frustrating.

Stretching 15:00 [3]

Hot tub to loosen muscles then lots of rolling and stretching to see if that elevates some of the pain.

Just ran the Spencer trail, needed to get a run in. Intervals. Speed was ok but legs felt tight, followed but some rolling.
